I woke up today at about 11am as I remembered I had an appointment with Sis. She wants to get a dress for her cousin's wedding next week. And so I met her at Lakeside MRT station and we took a train to Orchard. We went from shop to shop searching for a dress long enough for her. She's about the tallest friend I have around me, I think she's around 173cm. Imagine what will happen if she wore heels; all the guys around her will look like midgets. Normal dress to other girls will become like a mini skirt to her. I'm seriously not exaggerating; you have to see it to believe it. We went from Top Shop to Forever 21 to Gap to Guess to Fox. Then we went Bugis Street but we still couldn't find the dress she wants. Finally we decided on visiting Haji Lane at North Bridge Road. It's quite a nice place with lots of nice clothes, although it's mostly for girls. And wow, I saw this pretty girl in braces while walking along Haji Lane. She was wearing this dress that accentuates her figure so well that I was momentarily stunned on the spot. I was staring at her and drooling all over the floor. Well, literally of course. All along, I thought that girls with braces won't look as pretty as those without. Here's a very good example:

Look at Betty; you can say she looks cute. But using the word "pretty" is kind of inappropriate. Anyway, we went to this shop called MDS COLLECTIONS. The dresses in there are absolutely astonishing. I think that they are perfect for all occasions. I think all guys should bring your girlfriend there and shop till you drop. And all girls should bring your boyfriend and make them pay for every single thing you buy because it's so worth the money. For more information about the shop, please click here.
Sis bought a dress with black and white stripes which I chose for her. There was only 2 piece of that dress in the shop. And I think it will be a waste if she hadn't bought it. It's too pretty to be missed out. Then we took the train to city hall and walked to Marina Square to meet Sis's brother. He drove us home in his car at the speed of lightning. Although he drove quite recklessly, I enjoyed the journey home. But the ride was a little bumpy.

Have you ever wonder where did you food come from, especially the meat? If you still think that farmers are still like Old Macdonald then you are wrong. Life on the farm isn't what it used to be. The green pastures and idyllic barnyard scenes portrayed in children's books have been replaced by windowless sheds, tiny crates, wire cages, and other confinement systems integral to what is now known as factory farming. Today, the majority of farmed animals are confined to the point that they can barely move. Not only were their freedom robbed, they were denied veterinary care as well. They were mutilated till death without painkillers when they were sick. For those who are still healthy, they are slaughtered while still fully conscious. Here is a link to a website that shows videos of how animals are tortured, mutilated and slaughtered in a very cruel way.

I warn everyone that the scenes shown are probably rated M18. It may cause severe discomfort. Do not watch the video if you have a weak heart. There are scenes of throat slitting and mutilation. Therefore, do not watch the video if you just had a meal. And do not blame me if you feel nauseated. I've warned you already.
By the way, all my friends from Nanyang Polytechnic. Please consider carefully when you have your meal in school. Your choice and decision can help end this suffering. The food served at the Vegetarian food stall located in South canteen is delicious. I'm going to eat that everyday from now onwards. It may not seem much but it will help. Because it's not the farmers who are cruel, it's the society. It's the way they demand for the supply.
