damn belated birthday present / shopping with 老婆

As I woke up about 11pm yesterday night, I couldn't get a wink a sleep at all today. The initial plan was to meet sister at Jurong Point as she wanted to buy me a belated birthday present. But she ended up being too busy and didn't have time to entertain me so she just shoved 40 bucks into my hands and asked me to buy the present myself.

Nice la Joeanna, wait till your birthday. I confirm pass you money ask you go celebrate yourself.

Anyway, I went to meet 老婆 after that to get her laptop fixed at Sim Lim Square. She decided to upgrade her laptop's ram to 4Gb as well. And it only cost $68, must be the effect of recession and Obama. 老婆 left her laptop her laptop at one of the shop to get it's fan cleaned as the laptop will overheat after a few hours causing her wireless lan card to malfunction.
After that, we took sometime off to shop around at Bugis Junction and saw some bags we like inside Zinc. So we went in and got ourselves a bag each. I bought a black one with white polka dots and 老婆 bought a purple one with white polka dots.
My house is becoming my studio soon. I no longer have to go out to entertain myself anymore. Haha!

Anyway, we went to the newly opened shopping centre beside Bugis Street after we bought our bags. It's called Illuma shopping centre if I'm not wrong. And there's this freakass long escalator which goes all the way up till 4th storey from 1st storey. The shops there doesn't seem to interest me as it's mainly for girls but I kinda like the name of the cineplex on level 5. It's called Film Garde Cineplex.

While walking around, 老婆 became interested in those push-cart shops. And coincidentally she saw her friend working at one of the push-cart shop. So she went over and asked about the price. Our inital impression of the rental free was around few hundred bucks per shop. But we got a shocked when we heard the actual price, it's about $3800 per month to rent that toilet-cubicle-sized-push-cart shop. It's $4,5600 for the whole year, therefore, the shop owner has to earn $124.93150684931506849315068493151 (my calculator pro right? ) per day just to pay the rental fee. We totally dropped our idea of renting one of the toilet-cubicle-sized-push-cart shop. Have to earn $124.93150684931506849315068493151 per day, how sia?
老婆 suddenly got this idea of creating a blogshop to sell some stuffs. So I helped her and created a simple blogshop just now as I was too free.
