It's been like 2 months since I've blogged anything proper. So I've decided to write about yesterday's trip to Punggol Marina. As most of you know, I've been working in a factory at Changi North area for about 2 months now. I've made quite a lot friends there, and yesterday we had an outing to Punggol Marina for steamboat.

Zhen Yang came over and fetch us at around 8pm and we rushed all the way to Punggol. At first we thought we will be there on time, but we lost our way at Punggol and drove around the area for 45 mins till we finally decided to call the rest. Ivan and Geok Chuan came over and let us follow the lead of their car. We found out that it was actually so close to where we had been driving around, the reason we missed it was because we didn't see the signboard.

We reached there at around 10.45pm. The rest had finished eating, and they were just playing cards and chatting. So Zhi Boon and I decided to have our steamboat on another table while the rest continued playing. Well, the food really sucks there. At first, we were told that the food is great and there are a lot of activities available there. But when we reached there, we were greeted by limited facilities and even limited variety of food.
Fuck you Robin Nai for introducing Marina Country Club to us.

Anyway, we didn't really ate much so we left at 11 plus and drove to Tampines to send Qiqi home. After which, we proceeded to Orchard Cineleisure to catch the movie, Raging Phoenix. Overall, I find the movie quite entertaining. The plot was quite predictable at times and the ending was abit too draggy. But I think that it's worth the time and money to watch.

After we finished the movie, it was already 4.30am. So we decided to split ways and send some of them home. Ivan, Geok Chuan, Desmond and Siew Ting went on the Honda Civic type R while Zhen Yang, Zhi Boon, Peng Siong, Robin and I went on the Toyota Corolla. Geok Chuan sent Siew Ting and Desmond home to Eunos and Sembawang respectively while we went to Hougang to send Peng Siong and Robin home. By the time we reached Hougang it was already 5am so we had to rush to Yishun to pick Geok Chuan as Zhen Yang had to return the car to his father by 5am. We got stuck at CTE(TPE/SLE) because we didn't know the way, but thankfully we found our way quite soon.

However, the day was not quite over as Zhen Yang lost his way(again) at KJE while sending us home. We had to take a detour all the way from Tuas to Jurong because we missed the signboard pointing the exit to Jurong(again).

Anyway, after this trip. I found out the convenience of having your own transport and the troubles of not owning a GPS. Having a car or a motorbike to drive around whenever and wherever you want is such a privilege. But fret not, soon I'll be able to travel around Singapore as and when I want to.
