Health is of certain importance in every one's life. The health craze ignited a few years ago got everyone going gaga over healthy food. Today I'm going to introduce a cafe that is situated at the basement of Century Square located in Tampines. It's a restaurant serving up healthy organic food at affordable price for everyone. The name of this restaurant is called Organic Cafe Xperience. And it happens to be a cafe where I've work for 8 months before taking my O levels in year 2007. Although there are many other branches located at other places of Singapore, this particular outlet has many wonderful memories in it. Be it the kitchen or the counter, every part of it brings back memories so familiar to me.
I went shopping with my younger brother in Bugis, and we decided to have our dinner at Tampines because it's been quite some time since we visited the place. Not much changes to the place though. The seats, the fridge, the atmosphere, the smell still remains the same. Some staffs resigned, some staffs were transferred to other branches. I'm glad to say that my manager, Ann, still works at there. She taught me many things which I won't get to learn elsewhere. Most of them stored deep inside my brains, and somehow they managed to crawl their way out when I saw her. Memories of working flooded me and left me breathless. I have to admit that I miss the place alot. I miss the head chef, Ah goh. I miss Ah boon and his Olio Olio. I miss Serene my da jie. I miss xiao ling too, she taught me alot of things even though she's younger than me. I miss them alot and I didn't get to see them when I went Tampines. Hope you guys are doing well.
Food fiesta time. I shall give a brief recollection of what my brother and I ordered for dinner. We got a Thai Seafood salad for our appetizer. I think it became much more spicy since I last ate it, which was a year ago. I only ate the prawns and left the rest of the seafood for my brother. Then we got a Seafood Aglio Olio for each of us. But I asked for it to be cooked with cream sauce and the mussels, chili to be removed. My brother got an original Seafood Aglio Olio stir fried with garlic. After which we ordered an Hawaiian pizza which was new to us as it was just introduced last month. The Hawaiian pizza was quite delicious. I kind of like the taste. Ann treated us a plate of Mango pudding tart with ice cream each. We were quite full by then but couldn't say no to such a beautiful dessert. And so we gobbled it up with the speed of light. I ordered a cup of Organic Cafe Xperience special iced coffee and my brother got a ice blended honey with lemon. We took some pictures with Ann and Kelly after we finished our meals. I'm definitely going to visit the place again sometime soon. Anyone wants to go with me?
Below are the pictures we took at the Cafe. Too bad we didn't have the chance to take a picture of the Thai Seafood salad. We were too hungry and by the time we remembered, the salad was half gone.
